We are so thrilled to bring you the fourth annual Native and Pollinator Plant Sale at Plant Life Designs! We have curated a beautiful selection of native and pollinator plants that would love to be a part of your home landscape. The sale is designed to not only bring in a large variety of native plants, but also to be very educational.

We have arranged the selection by location of where to plant them and what pollinators/bees/birds they will attract. For example, we will have a section on host plants to attract specific types of butterflies to your yard, and a section of plants perfect for those hard-to-grow areas under a shady tree.

We are here to help you bring more natives into your landscape and celebrate National Pollinator Week at Plant Life Designs!

PLD Native Plant Sale

Good Neighbor Iowa

Join us at 10 am on Saturday, June 27 during our sale for a complimentary presentation from Good Neighbor Iowa in the gardens at Plant Life Designs.

This presentation will cover:

  • How modern lawn culture developed and why chemical‑dependent turf has become the norm.
  • What pesticides are, how they move beyond where they’re applied, and common myths about their safety.
  • Health impacts of pesticide exposure, with a focus on children, pets, and other vulnerable populations.
  • Environmental impacts, including pollinator decline, biodiversity loss, and water quality concerns.
  • The Precautionary Principle and why choosing safer alternatives matters even when uncertainty exists.
  • Practical, actionable strategies for maintaining attractive, healthy lawns and landscapes without pesticides, such as improving soil health, proper watering and mowing, organic inputs, and native plant‑friendly practices.

Hope to see you there!
